Best wishes for a happiest holiday and a great upcoming year to you from the QI 2005 Staff.
Our apologies if you are disturbed by our previous CFPs but we do hope you can share our excitement about this upcoming
conference on qualitative inquiry. The First International Congress of Qualitative Inquiry will take place on May 5-7, 2005, and
the submission deadline is January 15, 2005. The online registration is already open, and you are welcome to visit http:// for submission and registration.
The mission of the First International Congress is to provide a forum for critical conversations on the federal and academic
regulations on indigenous, border, feminist, race, queer and ethnic studies, to build and expand the already robust tradition
of Qualitative Inquiry. This congress gathers together vibrant strands of qualitative research to produce innovative futures. We
seek to generate lively, critical debate, foster contacts and the exchange ideas, and draw inspiration from each other. We
encourage international participation from different countries, disciplines and cultural backgrounds, as well as from a wide
range of research areas, including the humanities, medical and health care scholars.
Again, Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
