    select specific output

    Hello
I have coded transcripts (PD)of several persons (one PD = Interview with one Person) . Now I want
to get an output (all codes with quotations) for each person
separatly. I can print all codes with quotations, but then all persons are included and mixed..
    Can somebody help me?

Hi Simone, here is just a quick answer.

    a way:

    1. Open a person PD
    2. Filter codes or quotes by the current person PD
(e.g. in the Code Manager: Menu/Codes/Filter: All/selected primary document)
    3. Output the codes and quotations

Do this for all persons and if interesting for you, combine the separate
outputs to a single text document.

    Hope this helps

    Dear Michael
thanks a lot! Sounds very plausible.
I've tried it out - and if I sort the codes for "selected primary document" then
the codes for the selected one are appearing (great!) in the output, but also with the
quotations from the other persons (it just filtered the codes but did not just
select only the quotations for one selected person.. : )
Maybe I did something wrong again? Can you help me again?

    Thanks a lot! Simone

    Dear Simone,

    a more clear description:

    1. open a person PD
    2. filter Codes AND Quotes by the current person PD
    3. output the codes

    Cheers, Michael

    Hi there,
I have a similar problem but would like to get a network view of the quotations linked to a code for a single primary document only. I did filter the selected primary document for codes and quotations but when I try to import neighbors in the network view it shows me ALL quotations linked to that code instead of only those belonging to the primary document I selected.
Do you know how to get only those quotations displayed that belong to the selected primary document?
    Thanks a lot,
    mareike

    Hi Mareike,

    one way is e.g.:

    - filter the quotes by the needed PD
    - open a net view for the code of your interest
    - import its neighbors

    Hope this helps

    Hi all,
Is there in general any restriction on working with many primary documents at the same HU rather than making separate HUs?
I can see that merging HUs is possible, but I haven't seen anything about separating one HU.
I am starting coding the second primary doc and I am thinking of using a separate HU to be sure.
    Thanks
